BBP in the mix

I have the Bourbon Barrel Porter on CO2 and in the fridge. The Cream Ale has finally gone dry.

Roll out the barrel

I racked the Bourbon Barrel Porter to a keg and it is cooling down and ready to hit the co2. I also racked the Hopstuff red into a secondary. Hopstuff has a wicked strong hop aroma for the whole neighborhood to enjoy. Woo Hoo!

Bourbon barrel update, Rastaman smoked is up in smoke

The Bourbon Barrel Porter is really starting to smell terrific! This one will be killer for the holidays. On a sad note, the Rastaman Smoked Porter has gone dry and been replaced with the Black Ale. That sucker went fast!

Hopstuff

I brewed up an amber ale recipe yesterday I call Hopstuff. It is an interesting recipe using lots of hops in late additions to keep the bitterness down and let the malt character dominate. A total of 5 ounces of hops were added with 20, 10 and 5 minutes left in the 90 minute boil. The beer should turn out reddish with a good amount of hop aroma and taste.
