ATLAB racked

I finally racked the ATLAB into the secondary tonight. I got a lot of blowoff on this brew so the carboy was a bit nasty and needed a good soaking with PBW. The kegs are pumping nothing but brown ale right now. Big Black Ale tastes more like a Moose Drool and Friday the 13th resembles a Guiness in my opinion. Both are very good. Samples are available on request.

All The Leaves Are Brown...revisited

I brewed up the ATLAB ale recipe with a few revisions.
All The Leaves Are Brown Ale
9.25 lb Pale Malt (2 Row)
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L
0.25 lb Roasted Barley
0.13 lb Chocolate Malt
0.06 lb Black (Patent) Malt (
1 oz. Northern Brewer hops (FWH)
1 oz. East Kent Goldings Hops
1.00 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 min)
1 Pkgs Nottingham Yeast (Lallemand #-)

I had to use a blow off hose for this batch after I noticed foam gushing through the airlock.
