ATLAB racked

I finally racked the ATLAB into the secondary tonight. I got a lot of blowoff on this brew so the carboy was a bit nasty and needed a good soaking with PBW. The kegs are pumping nothing but brown ale right now. Big Black Ale tastes more like a Moose Drool and Friday the 13th resembles a Guiness in my opinion. Both are very good. Samples are available on request.

All The Leaves Are Brown...revisited

I brewed up the ATLAB ale recipe with a few revisions.
All The Leaves Are Brown Ale
9.25 lb Pale Malt (2 Row)
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L
0.25 lb Roasted Barley
0.13 lb Chocolate Malt
0.06 lb Black (Patent) Malt (
1 oz. Northern Brewer hops (FWH)
1 oz. East Kent Goldings Hops
1.00 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 min)
1 Pkgs Nottingham Yeast (Lallemand #-)

I had to use a blow off hose for this batch after I noticed foam gushing through the airlock.

Hey! Porter kegged, Brown kicked and Black cat tapped

I kegged the Hey! Porter the other day......can't wait for this one to make it to the tap. The Brown Ale went dry and was replaced with the Friday the 13th Black Cat ale the other day.
Black Ale : On tap
Friday 13th : On tap
