High Humidity tapped

I tapped the High Humidity Brown Ale on Sunday because the Hailstorm Ale fizzled out a few days earlier. It turned out to be pretty damn good if I do say so myself! I just looked back through my brewing calendar and found out that I've brewed 15 batches of beer so far this year. That, my friends is 2 more that my previous record for an entire year. I recently purchased a 50# sack of two row barley from the local brew supplyso I should get a couple more brews in before 2008 comes to an end.
On Tap:
Rak's Ale
High Humidity Brown Ale
On Deck:
Bob's Yer Uncle Irish Ale
Secondary:

BYUIA kegged!

I kegged Bob's yer Uncle today and realized I have beer in all four of my kegs. I have another kegged on the way to accommodate the old ale. I never thought I'd have 5 kegs of beer on hand!

On Yer Ass

I brewed a little ale called "On Yer Ass" today. This is a bigger beer than I have done in the past and will bring a little more alcohol to the party. My usual beers run 4-5%, whereas this one will be in the 6.5- 7% range. It is what's called an Old Ale because it emulates a style of beer brewed before the industrial revolution.

Recipe as brewed:
On Yer Ass Old Ale
12 lbs. American 2 row Malt

2 lbs. Munich Malt

.75 lbs. Crystal 60L

.125 Lbs. Chocolate Malt

1.5 oz. Willamette Hops (60 min.)

1.5 oz. Willamette Hops (5 min.)

1 tsp. Irish Moss (15 min.)

1 Pkg. Nottingham Dried yeast
