just an update...............

We are currently enjoying the Smiddick's and Newcastle clones and can't wait for space to open up in the fridge for the Moose Drool. Sadly, a keg has to empty for that to happen.

Smiddick's racked

I racked the Smiddick's today. I have noticed that it is getting darker and more red the longer it is in the carbouy. Looks like a good'un!

Nukey's back and the Moose is racked

The Newcastle clone is tapped, flowing, and real good! The Moose Drool clone is in the secondary and the Smithwick's clone needs some more time in the primary.

All hail Paul at Dakota Fire Extinguisher!

Dude called Tuesday 3 pm..... tank tested and filled.....Woo hoo! I have a new hero. Beer on gas by 3:30.

outta gas

I racked the Nukey into the keg Friday, purged it, and chucked it into the fridge to cool down. Saturday I dialed the CO2 up to 30 psi to start the carbonation only to watch it hit 10 psi, then nothing....crap outta gas! With some calling I found Dakota Fire Extinguisher was the only option due to the fact my tank required hydro testing. I had to wait til Monday to take it in and they said I'd get it back Wednesday. Running out of homebrew did give us a chance to find out how expensive store bought beer is these days! Holy crap $10.00+ for a sixer of Newcastle! I must never run out of homebrew again.
