Phat Tyre road ready

I popped a Phat Tyre last night and I can say it is ready to roll! It has plenty of carbonation so don't worry about jamming it down the middle of the glass from the ceiling. Take 'er down the side and kick it up when you're sure you have enough room in the glass. Drink up Shriners!

Nut Brown update

We had a couple Nut Browns last night with dinner. A smooth brew with plenty of fizz and a good nutty flavor is the result. All I can say is YEAH BABY!

nukey brown comes round again

We just got done brewing the latest Nukey Brown edition. This is the kit I picked up at Northern Brewer while we were in the cities visiting Ann. It was fun to visit the store and see all the brewing supplies even though it is way down in St. Paul......(with today's gas prices I'd probably still use mail order if I lived in Minneapolis )
We spent about six days with Ann and had a great time eating at great restaurants, shopping, and goofing off. Me not so much into the shopping but I sure ate like there was no tomorrow.

If the missles fly I'm popping these early

I couldn't wait any longer...I just had to bottle the Phat Tyre. Nancy and I are visiting Mpls. for a week and I didn't want it to sit that whole time. Plus, I had to have some to bring along for Ann and Steve. The Maplegrovers will get a taste of the hardest part of homebrewing...waiting three weeks for the beer to condition! I have my bottling down to a science and it only takes about 1 3/4 hrs. from sanitizing to capping.

Nut Brown - ready to pop 7-19
Phat Tyre - ready to pop 7-27

What a pretty amber color on that Phat Tyre.

WTF!

Due to activity from the Phat Tyre in the secondary I still can't bottle. I have never had bubbles last this long before....
