Gosh, it's been over a year since last post. I've brewed some fine beers since then, honest! I've made some upgrades to my equipment and technique.

Update time
I just kegged an American IPA Sunday. It is my only brew since last update and I'm hoping to get it carbed up by Thanksgiving. If not there is a Porter and a Belgian strong on hand for the folks to enjoy.

Yee Haw!
We spent a little time in Montana for a wedding August 22-24. We brought along a keg of ESB and APA for the festivities. There were a few challenges to tackle along the way. With a whole lot of rigging we managed to keep the beer cold and get it out of the kegs for all the eager party goers.

I'm a cellar rat!
Kegged my Belgian Saison and moved my APA to the secondary today. Took a gravity reading on the Porter as long as I was in the cellar......I'm going to let it go a bit longer to see if it drops more.

Brewing continues
I've brewed a few times since my last post. A Farmhouse Ale, an APA, and a Porter have passed through my kettles and into fermenters. The Surly Bender clone and the ESB turned out great and are on tap as we speak. We hosted tasting parties with our last few brew sessions, and they turned out to be fun. All in all it has been a great brewing summer so far.

Filling kegs
I have managed to get the Surly Bender inspired beer in the kegs. The Belgian Strong Dark and the ESB have been moved to secondary. These two brews took a little effort to finish up and are a little behind schedule.
I'm planning a Farmhouse Ale for my next brew and should get to it in a week or so.

Bob's Brewapalooza!
Just doughed in my third mash since Sunday. I am winding down on my vacation week with a simple Belgian Dark Ale. It's simple because the grain bill is just plain two row malt. Sugar and honey additions come during the boil to bring up gravity and add some flavor. A brown ale in the spirit of Surly's Bender and an ESB were brewed earlier in the week. The week that is known as Bob's Brewapalooza! We have also been enjoying the Surly Furious not so clone and the Citra hopped APA since popping those kegs.
