Amber waves

I'm half way into the mash on an American Amber Ale. I had previously planned to brew a dark Brooklyn Brewery clone, but my specialty grain inventory was lacking some key ingredients. The amber is a kind "clean out the grains brew" and may stray a bit from the BJCP guidelines. Guidelines! We don't need no stinking guidelines!
