Hand me down my racking cane

I just got done racking the Irish Draught into the secondary and all things look good. The color is darker than I had imagined, and it smells really good. Once again we're down to about 12 beers in the drinking stock so we'll have to pace ourselves, or God forbid.....buy beer!

Shorty here. I think the darker color is great- have you ever had one change that much between first and secondary tanks? I'm still hung up on the naming thing- it's not like these brews are your children, so give them a name, add a little of that Rakfink artwork to the label, and bottoms up!

Shorts - I have never had a brew change enough to notice before. Really there is no reason it should change in the fermentor unless residue from the specialty grains slipped through the steeping bag.
Not my children! I just drank two of those brats last night.
The real reason I don't get into the naming and labeling of my beer is the cleanup. Soaking and scraping labels off before bottling really sucks! Usually I mark what the brew is on the cap with a Sharpie. Maybe I should come up with really small artwork to fit on the cap.
